Sustainable Solutions for Residential Home Development

The industry’s definition of Sustainable Building is planning and developing structures that are built in an environmentally responsible manner by maximizing the use of materials, minimizing the use of resources, and ensuring the health and well-being of occupants and the surrounding built environment both today and for generations to come.

At Craftmen Residential, we make every effort to preserve as much of the existing natural environment as possible when planning and constructing improvements. We employ best practices in methods, materials, and systems technology, and we recycle!

As custodians of our natural environment, we’re serious about recycling and conservation. According to the EPA, an estimated 548 million tons of construction and demolition debris was generated in 2015, with little being recycled. To do our part in combating this problem, virtually all construction debris from every project we build is contained and shipped locally to be separated and recycled for future re-use.

Additionally, we promote the conservation of forests and the protection of habitat by committing time, money, and effort to support preservation and replanting in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation®. These resources help mitigate deforestation and replant the very trees that “clean air and water, slow climate change, ease poverty and hunger, prevent species loss, and feed the human soul."
